Returning Officer
The Returning Officer has overall responsibility in the conduct of elections. The role requires knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures and rules, as well as maintaining impartiality and independence throughout the election event. By appointing us as your Returning Officer, your organisation will be assured that your election is administered effectively and the experience of voters and candidates are of the highest standard.
As your Returning Officer, our role can include:

Election arrangements - determining the election calendar with timings and details of events. Prepare and publish all Notices and undertake all election preparations.

Nomination - design and send nomination papers to candidates and conduct the nomination process including receipt and validation of nomination forms.

Polling Station Staff - appoint staff at polling stations and conduct issuing of ballot papers to voters

Verifying and counting of votes - includes making the final decision on ballots containing errors or issues

Results - producing the declaration of results and many other electorate statistics. Declaring the candidates elected after the count and preparation of a full RO report post election on the proceedings.

Retention - Secured retention and certification of disposal of documents and data post election.

Postal Ballots
An end to end postal ballot solution includes design, print, and dispatch of ballot packs in addition to receiving and counting votes cast. The greatest individual cost is postage and our designs optimise the most effective way to provide an attractive pack within the Royal Mail charging structures.
